Sail to Sable! Giveaway

Winner Announced:
Congratulations to the petitepiano, the winner of the Sail to Sable tunic giveaway!
Thank you to everyone who entered, and be sure to head on over the www.sailtosable.com.
When better to do a Nantucket-esque giveaway than when I'm on my way to my first time to Nantucket!

When I first happened upon an amazing new line of town-and-country appropriate nautical inspired apparel created by Jennifer Stocker, I reached out to her right away, and she is a absolutely lovely! I'm pleased to announce we have Jennifer to thank for generously offering a giveaway of an original Sail to Sable Tunic for all my blog readers who bop on over and check out her new line!

‘Sail to Sable’ refers to the easternmost and southernmost spots on the Eastern Seaboard: Sail Rock, Maine & Cape Sable, Florida. Jennifer Stocker’s first design collection has an ambiance all its own, inspired by her love of warm weather and the beaches of the East Coast. Ladies, we of course all love tunic dresses for their comfort, versatility, and instant ability to make us look chic.

Sail to Sable tunics have an exceedingly wearable silhouette, inspired by the understated elegance of the A-line clothes that Jacqueline Kennedy made famous. Like many designers, Ms. Stocker has decided to expand her brand beyond apparel: she’s also created a line of pillows and placemats that echo the colors and design of her clothing creations.

Everything is coordinated to mix and match: The colors are bold, the trim includes big rickrack, wide and chained piping, stripes, and prints; it’s an original, young-spirited look that’s bright but not gaudy. A fusion of preppy, classic and chic, the tunics have long sleeves, V-necks, slits at the hemline. They’re above the knee but not too much; in other words, a sort of Easthampton, Martha’s Vineyard, Palm Beach, ingĂ©nue film-star look.

Let me tell you a little bit about her founding story:
With a background in merchandising and publishing, she gave long and serious thought to the name of her company. Ms. Stockton has worked for Conde Nast Publications for over six years and is associate director of creative services for Gentlemen’s Quarterly magazine and was previously merchandising manager for Lucky magazine. Her talents combine fashion, graphic arts, and marketing, all very helpful in starting a business. As a future entrepreneur myself someday, to me she is a true inspiration!
Keep a lookout for her upcoming Fall/Winter line - think cashmere tunics, maybe some full-length tunics, and beaded ones for the holidays! Everything is made in New York City. A listing of bricks and mortar shops retailing Sail to Sable is found below, but you can also checkout her Facebook page.
Thank you to Jennifer!
