Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patty’s Day to everyone!

Where I work, at a financial consulting firm downtown, we celebrated March birthdays yesterday with delicious St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake!

Irish Cream cupcakes – Valrhona chocolate cupcakes with a non-alcoholic Irish cream-infused vanilla cream cheese frosting topped with fondant shamrocks. So if you’re in DC today – and you’re feeling lucky J – stop by Georgetown or Bethesda to pick up yours today! I’m sure these cupcakes will sell out quickly.

St. Patty's Day Cupcakes from Baked by Melissa!

Last year around this time, I was happily indulging in a wonderful string of events in NYC all centered around Lilly Pulitzer's 50th Golden Jubilee Anniversary! First the bloggers preview party and reunion at Lilly's Madison Ave. Townhouse, then Martha Stewart's dedicated show for Lilly Pulitzer prints, and then shopping and more fun back on Madison Ave. at Lilly. The Lilly after-party was catered with cupcakes from Crumbs, which were delicious. So delicious in fact that the next day I had to pay a visit to their store, and I delightfully enjoyed one of their festive St. Patricks day cupcakes. (Visit the archives of my blog to see more photos from that weekend!)

This year, these Baked By Melissa treats seem to do just the trick!
