Calling All Polo Players!

Interested in a game of polo this weekend?
I want to let everyone know about a very special event happening this weekend. A recent acquaintance of mine is hosting a wonderful event at his beautiful estate in Leesburg, Virginia, called the Ride To Thrive Polo Classic. It will be held on Saturday, October 10
This Polo Classic will be held to benefit the Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program (NVTRP). NVTRP is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with disabilities, youth-at-risk, and veterans through the challenging, physically-active sport of horseback riding.

This will be the first time that this polo match is being held at Merriweather Manor. The day will feature two full-length polo matches as well as activities including the traditional divot stomp, and a performance by the Winn Brothers, a seven piece group out of Washington, DC konwn for playing a variety of music from Jazz standards, Motown Funk, Classic Rock, and 80s hits. In the early evening, several young equestrians will treat match-goeers to a therapeutic riding demonstration, while guests enjoy incredible fare by Design Cuisine and yummy treats from Georgetown Cupcake!

There will be anticipated coverage from Washington Life, Capitol File, The Washington Post, DC Modern Luxury, Washingtonian Magazine, and Bethesda Magazine.

Oooh I would have loved to be there but I have to work this weekend. I used to be a volunteer for a therapeutic riding facility in the town where I grew up.
