I'm Hosting A Giveaway!

To kick off the holiday season in style, I'm announcing my next giveaway starting today! With December calendars getting pleasantly booked up and holiday parties nearing just around the corner, I am always trying to come up with new ideas for personalized hostess gifts to bring to the friends and relatives who host such wonderful festivities.

Michelle from The Paper Cottage is kind enough to be offering one lucky reader of my blog a set of personalized notes from The Paper Menu's fine stationery and gifts store. I think they are just perfect either as thank-you notes you can use for writing thanks for the gifts all you wonderful hostesses will surely be receiving this season, or as a gift monogrammed to give to some lucky hostess of a party you attend. This giveaway of notecards will be the design of your choice. Even if you are not the winner, you must be sure to checkout the cards which are for sale on the Paper Cottage's website - her designs are so cute and fun and also are a great price point for a cute personalized holiday gift.

To enter this giveaway, please post a comment telling me your name, email address, and one small act of kindness you will do for another person this holiday season. For an additional two entries, you can enter The Paper Cottage's mailing list. For another point you can join owner Michelle's blog, http://Prettylittlethingsforyou.blogspot.com or her facebook page.

The winner will be drawn on December 3rd, so hurry and visit The Paper Cottage today and choose which design you would like!

Happy Holidays!

My classroom participates in Boxing Day (holiday event in Europe) where we collect snack foods and box them up. Our class then takes those foods to children less fortunate than ourselves along with notes and Christmas cards to lift their spirits! :)

WE always have a Christmas Caroling Party, and we ask for donations for the local Pet Rescue. On Christmas, we adopt a "Grandma" from the local nursing home, and visit with them.

I love all the cards!

Our janitor at work is the best guy ever- always offering to help me and always stops to chat and ask about my day (and really listens). Awhile back he was feeling down about his job and mentioned he didn't think anybody appreciated him. For Christmas, I am going to buy him some special olive oils from Whole Foods (he used to be a cook) just to let him know I appreciate him :)

We are donating new blankets for the homeless in lieu of exchanging Christmas presents with the faculty & staff at the school where I teach. Our goal this year is to be able to donate 300 blankets.
